CHOLESTEROL:

Cholesterol
Cholesterol is found in every cell of the body and is essential to the structure of the cell walls, allows the body to produce Vitamin D, and enables the body to make certain hormones. High cholesterol is also known as hyperlipidemia or dyslipidemia and can put you at high risk for having coronary artery disease, heart attack, stroke and peripheral vascular disease. Reducing blood lipid levels lowers this risk. Abnormal cholesterol levels may also be secondary to diabetes, liver or kidney disease, underactive thyroid gland and ovarian diseases.
